I grew up surrounded by art, watching an artist bring beauty into the world every day. Those early experiences planted a seed in me - a deep love for creation and a belief in the power of art to transform our daily lives. But you know how it goes; sometimes it takes a while for seeds to sprout and grow.

For years, I kept my art close to my heart, creating pieces just for myself and close friends. It wasn't until I started teaching art that I found the confidence to share my creations more widely. There's something magical about seeing the joy on a student's face when they create something beautiful - it reminded me of the joy I feel when I'm at my pottery wheel.

As an art teacher, I've had the joy of dabbling in multiple mediums, sharing the wonder of creation with my students. But there's something special about clay. The way it moves under your hands, how it can be both delicate and strong, how it transforms in the kiln - it's a bit like life, isn't it?

While I love all forms of art, pottery has stolen my heart. It challenges me, inspires me, and allows me to combine my love for drawing and painting with three-dimensional forms. Each piece I create is a little journey of its own, and I find myself returning to the wheel again and again, always learning, always growing.
